Hey — thanks for reading Hebojago. Before we get into the money stuff, here are the ground rules for using this site. I’ve written them in plain English, because that’s how I write everything here. By visiting hebojago.com (“the site,” “Hebojago,” “I,” “me,” “my”), you’re agreeing to what’s below. If you don’t agree, no hard feelings — just don’t use the site.
1. Acceptance of these terms
Using Hebojago — reading articles, leaving comments, subscribing to the newsletter, clicking links — means you accept these Terms of Service and my Privacy Policy. If I update these terms (see section 11), continuing to use the site means you accept the updated version.
2. Eligibility
You need to be at least 18 years old to use this site. Hebojago covers investing, options, credit cards, and other grown-up money decisions, and it isn’t built for kids. By using the site, you’re confirming you’re 18 or older.
3. This is NOT financial advice
This is the most important section on the page, so read it twice. Everything on Hebojago is for education and information only. It is not financial, investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.
I’m a software developer writing about my own family’s money journey. I am not a licensed financial advisor, broker, tax professional, or fiduciary, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, product, or strategy. Options trading (like the cash-secured puts I write about) and investing in general carry real risk, including the risk of losing money. What works for my situation may be wrong for yours.
Before you make any money decision, do your own research and/or talk to a licensed professional who knows your specific circumstances. Any action you take based on what you read here is your own decision, and you accept full responsibility for the outcome. No hype, just math — but the math is mine, not advice for you.
4. Affiliate & advertising disclosure
Hebojago makes money through affiliate links and ads, and I want to be upfront about it. Some links on this site are affiliate or referral links — if you click one and make a purchase or sign up, I may earn a commission or referral bonus, at no extra cost to you. This includes programs like Amazon Associates, CJ Affiliate, and Chase card referrals. I also display ads through Google AdSense.

Earning a commission never changes what I recommend or how I write about something — I only link to things I’d actually use or have used, and I show the math either way. Where required, I also disclose affiliate relationships before the relevant links inside individual articles.
5. Accuracy of the information
I work hard to get things right and to show real numbers. But I can’t promise everything on the site is accurate, complete, or current. Rates, card offers, prices, market figures, and tax rules change constantly — sometimes the day after I publish. Treat anything time-sensitive as a snapshot from when it was written, and verify the current details yourself before acting. If you spot an error, email me and I’ll fix it.
6. Intellectual property
The articles, charts, images, and other original content on Hebojago are mine (or licensed to me) and are protected by copyright. You’re welcome to read, share links, and quote a short excerpt with credit and a link back. You may not republish, copy, or repost my full articles or substantial portions elsewhere without my written permission. If you’d like to use something, just ask — my email is at the bottom.
7. Third-party links
Hebojago links out to other websites — brokers, banks, card issuers, Amazon, tools, and sources. I don’t control those sites and I’m not responsible for their content, products, accuracy, privacy practices, or anything that happens once you leave Hebojago. A link isn’t an endorsement of everything on the other end. Read their terms and privacy policies for yourself.
8. Comments & conduct
Comments are powered by Cusdis, and I moderate them. When you comment, keep it civil and on-topic. Don’t post spam, self-promotion, affiliate links, hate speech, harassment, threats, illegal content, or anything that isn’t yours to post. I can edit, remove, or block any comment or commenter at my discretion, without notice. Comments reflect the opinions of the people who wrote them, not me — and please don’t treat a stranger’s comment as financial advice either.
9. Newsletter
You can subscribe to the Hebojago newsletter through the signup form on the site (it runs through Buttondown). I’ll send you new posts and the occasional update — no spam. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, so you can opt out anytime with one click, or just email me to be removed. See the Privacy Policy for how I handle your email address.
10. Disclaimer of warranties & limitation of liability
Hebojago is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any implied warranties of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, I’m not liable for any loss or damage — financial or otherwise — arising from your use of the site, your reliance on anything you read here, any errors or downtime, or any decision you make based on my content. You use Hebojago at your own risk. Again: the investing and money strategies discussed here can lose money, and that risk is yours.
11. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time — as the site grows, as I add new income streams, or as the law changes. When I do, I’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Changes take effect when posted, and continuing to use the site means you accept them. Worth a re-read now and then.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute relating to Hebojago or these terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Washington State, and you agree to that jurisdiction.
